World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items can be used to improve the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type it can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.
The process of upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests and each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a certain amount.
Item Level
When an item gets upgraded, its stats improve in value. The value is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly, dependent on the upgrader and what kind of upgrade you decide to perform. This is due to the number of perks that need to be changed in order to upgrade an item.
It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is limited to a lower level). The average item level can be found in the character sheet.
Utilizing the level of an item can help players evaluate the strength of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an excellent gauge of an item's worth and how much damage it will be capable of causing. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller is possible using the level of the item.
The level of the item can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the complete description of the item, including its value. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are various theories on how the calculation of the item's level is carried out. One theory is that the item level is a numerical value derived from a formula that determines the value of an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different worth, and also that gems in sockets increase the overall value of the item. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's level, which is usually close to the actual Blizzard item level.
However, this isn't the only factor that determines the ilvl of an item, because the level of the region the item is dropped into can alter the value of its stats, for example by adding an amount to its crit rating or haste rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have higher ilvl.
this link on an item are a significant component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of them in various ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon and to motivate them to try out other weapons. The stat modifications of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by a player's level.

Upgrades to an item may increase its stats. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. An item that is white or grey, for example, will only be upgraded one time, while an item that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times at more expensive costs.
Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and are available in all shapes and sizes. The affixes can be used to give the item extra damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving dead or cutting down the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving a special name to the item.
All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items, which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other rerolling options.
In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which of the available stats they want to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However every item will contain at least one stat within the same range, unless it's a unique item or a God Roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that could be changed by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or deciding which stats to enhance. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.
Item Luck
A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the odds of item discoveries, the properties spawned on loot drops and the intensity of those properties. However, it doesn't directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game. This is more beneficial in the early game, since players tend to prioritize the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.
In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading that increases with each level of the item and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Weapons, armor, and shields can be made or spawn by using the Luck property, with the default value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on their material type) to increase the value of 40 luck or to boost an item's existing Luck up to 140.
Furthermore there are certain items, like the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be purchased in the shop or created using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Upgrades to items are a costly process and not all upgrades will be successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.
When you upgrade an item the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations on the extent to which success rates can be increased and the probability of an upgrade failing can't exceed 100%.
The Luck of an item may influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Every item has a base success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5percent.
The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above the items in the inventory. This can block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
